Eldred (Al) Saar lived in Bemidji since 1921. He operated the Saar Motor Co. for 30 years, retiring in May 1972. Dealership believed to have been located at  314 Minnesota Ave Bemidji, MN.

This rare mirror shows not only the dealership name but the left corner shows a speed gauge. Lettering underneath this is "And Observe Posted Speeds" ..... top of the mirror states  "Average stopping distance in feet on dry pavement". Also a lettering at the top that states "Let ability to STOP govern how fast you GO".   Silver with black lettering the dealership name - You're Looking At a Good Friend of Ours SAAR MOTOR CO. This vintage Automotive Dealership clip-on visor mirror is in good condition!  The glass part of the mirror is in good shape but there is age and air damage to the silvering around the edges. Small chip to the left hand side and a few tiny one's at edges. Red border. . My photos don't do the piece justice. The back of the mirror is diamond aluminum and is excellent. This measures approx.  It measures 10" long by 3 5/8" high.

This shows some minor wear associated with age & use but displays very well.  Excellent for the Gas & Oil buff, or for the Bemidji MN History collector.
