Absolutely incredible original 19th c. antique hand-painted sign. As found from an area South of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This has been in our home for years but we are changing the room it was in. This is large as it sat above the entrance. Measuring approx. of the hospital, measuring approx. 78.5" long by 19.5" tall. Wood framed with a white background and black lettering. Normal patina present as would expect for the age on the hand-painted lettering and overall.
The framing is showing the most wear and tear, see last photo. Solid wood construction on this one board sign and it appears to be fir. Guessing between 65 lbs and 85 lbs. Two large eye hooks are attached to the top for hanging. Perfect for a large room, bar, curiosity room or unique office or home!.
