Five 1940-50's Vintage CROUSE-Hinds
Industrial Flush Mount Lamps
Item #: BNT2851 Our price: $2400.00 |
Five vintage Crouse Hinds explosion proof Industrial lights with threaded glass globes. Crouse Hinds is a historical electrical equipment manufacturer founded in 1897.
This is model number for the 'condulet' is CP8 842 as shown underneath, and the fixture itself? Catalog No. DLC 61 (not sure). I can't find this exact fixture anywhere so at a loss.
We disassembled and cleaned as much as we could, they were very dirty and as-found in an old closed up building. They look to be in terrific shape other than some of the heavy thick glass covers shades have
chipped edges at the thread. The one shown in the last photo, (the one I missed), is equally as nice but that one has again a glass shade with chipped edge. Note that when screwed onto fixture you see no damage to the glass.
Also, as in one of my photos you can see one glass is yellowed slightly...not sure why.
You will note that one of the fixtures has a reflector insert and another has what looks to be a metal insert that would hold another type of shade.
I've seen some similar fixture a sporting green enamel shades. These can be used in many unique atmospheres when mixing the interior, and can be widely used in homes, such as living rooms and dining. for a large kitchens.
Fabulous for commercial settings like cafes or restaurants, inns, office, country barn or industrial shops.
