Whether used for scholarly, fashion or corrective reasons, these late 19th century wire rim eyeglasses are for you. Oval-shaped lenses and frames were the most popular of all styles of spectacles during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. There are no markings that I can find. These appear to be in nice shape for the era. There is mild surface rust that can be cleaned. One lens shows a few scratches, left side. The hinges work and are stable.

They are a great pair of glasses for an authentic use, costume, display or fashion.
