First let me explain that I am not a clock expert. I will do my best to describe the piece...condition, details, etc. to the best of my abilities.
Beautiful Grandfather clock that came to us in a estate purchase. The above information was found about the maker and I'm guessing this clock dates to the 1920's. Nice heavy movement. Very thick plates and gears. I took off the clock weights as we were moving the piece and wanted to secure the mechanism. Please note that the previous owner cut the hook part of the one weight for reason's unknown. Believe this can be replaced. (See photos). Also they show some minor dents. Heavy brass. The pendulum stem and the suspension spring etc. are in very good condition. Overall it looks like a heavy duty movement, lots of brass. The face is a brilliant brass with black hands. he back of the clock works has a makers mark, Kobold, the numbers 10616 and there is also a funny little guy that looks like a sun god (just my interpretation.
Dimensions are: 80" Tall, 17.75" Wide, 22.5" at widest (cornice),12" depth at cornice, 10" depth at cornice
Very nice condition, looks very clean and works well for it's age. Looks to be well taken care of through the years. Hoping that the pictures tell the story. Please look closely at the pictures, read the description carefully and feel free to ask questions if needed.
Thanks for looking
