An antique wooden firkin
with cover from the mid 19th century. In very nice antique
condition with minor splitting to the lid as pictured.
Fingered bands and handle with mushroom pivots. Swing handle
is sturdy wood pegged. See photos.
It stands 11.75” tall to the top of the cover, 12" top
diameter and 12.5" diameter at the base.
The cover is inscribed "E. F. Lane & Son Marlboro,
Depot N.H.", part of which has faded.

The bottom bands are loose from temperature change. Will
swell and tighten which is normal in a warmer climate.
