This is a vintage / antique Hydrometer Proof & Tralle's Scale Temp 60 degree Fahr. as found in an old closed up Pharmacy.  Made to measure the alcohol in spirits - production of misc. medicines. Wines, beer or liqueurs will not allow accurate readings with this due to their sugar content, it distorts the buoyancy.

Measuring 10 1/2" long and approximately 5/8" in diameter. It is made of blown glass with a weighted bulb at the bottom to allow it to float upright in a jar.  It comes in its original cylindrical tube container and has the Rexall label on the top. Excellent vintage pharmacy or theatrical display or your curiosity cabinet.
