A sweet and charming 20th century American nut cracker, hand-carved squirrel believed to be Maple with an Oak base. Large tail and a expressive stance. The carver had a sense of humor as when the tail is raised the nut would be placed underneath and lowering would then crack it. Great conversation piece. Give as a gift to that lover of animals, quirky items or keep and use on the Holidays!
