Large 19th century 20ft Oak Hardware Store Counter
Item #: BNT3064 Our price: SOLD OUT |
Impressive 19th century antique counter found in an old building that used to be a hardware / general store. Only the top has been altered with the removal of old overspray and then waxing. Otherwise all original.
This is a magnificent piece and especially nice to find uncut. In the right setting this would be the center of attention. This is solid oak. There is ample storage on the backside. I only have the 2 last photos when this was picked up that show the back, I will be adding more photos soon. It's open at the back enough to allow someone to add drawers or shelves.
At some point, someone covered a damaged area on the outside on one end with a circular silver piece showing 'The American, Abbingdon, Il". Not sure what this metal piece was from originally.
Dimensions: Height: 30″ Depth: 35.75″ Length: 20ft 2"
Note that we do have a beautiful Oak store cabinet or store display that is 20' as well and the pair would be fabulous together. Please inquire if interested in photos.
