Diamond in the rough.

Visually mesmerizing old apothecary, I'm sure due to the older red paint and 18 drawers. This is a handsome piece even without the restoration. Under the red paint is a thin layer of green, then the oak with original shellac, so if stripped it should be fairly easy.  Dating to approx. 1890s, this came from an old closed up store.  Each of the 18 drawers has a functioning pull, albeit not all original, just upper six. They all function well.

As the photos show, there are scratches, minor cracks, and age related issues due to age and poor treatment prior to our finding it. The oak top we put on for the new owner as the top it came with was cement board.
