Hand carved solid wood maple plate rack. Beautiful chip carved patterns in a folk-art design. Purchased in a Scandinavian estate with a similar candle box listed. Believe both to be Danish. My guesstimate is this dates from the early 20th century. 10s - 20s.

This shows 2 shelves and two decorated bars to hold the plates. I'm using 2 of my early Bread cutting boards to show how neat your dishes will look.  This is in very good condition but does have a few stress cracks due to age. They need the proper repair. The previous owner did a poor job as seen on the backside for repair.  Glue and two flat pieces of wood he thought would do.  Also, he added a newer hanger on the bottom to help hold the piece from swinging on its wire, I guess I'd remove this.

Approx. measurements are 42.5" tall by 25" wide and 3.75" deep.
