A classic early 19th century large pine painted Swedish drop leaf farmhouse table. Made around 1830s.

This came out of a old cabin in Northern Mn. and was stored for years. The pine top has been scrubbed of it's original color but the deep barn red paint underneath is still there. A drop-leaf 'slagbord' table in its wonderful original warn paint and patina. Historically this type of table was found in rooms used for entertaining where both leaves would be raised, at quieter times the table could be placed against a wall with perhaps one leaf raised. Fabulous piece and with a good waxing would be an extraordinary asset to any room.

Use as a center Island or a dining table. Perfect for a early primitive home.

There is normal wear for a table of this age. Used and loved during it's life and has many stories to tell with character. Some minor scratches on the top and a dry surface, but again, if desired, a good waxing can bring this back to life.
