Very brilliant coloration. Exceptional
iridescence made I believe by Northwood from 1908-1910. A
very early pattern. Marked with the M in the center. The
base is solid green and the top shows a partially ribbed
iridescent fluted top. Some normal imperfections due to the
age of the glass. Would be a super display. Believed
to be the Smooth Ray, offered mid-spring of 1909 in the
Butlers Bros. Fine example of turn of the century American
art glass.
Measurement of the compote is approx. 4.75" in height by 6"
across. Could use a soft cleaning. Estate purchase.
