This striking handmade brooch features a sculpted human face emerging from textured clay, framed by organic folds and crackled glaze. The piece is crafted from stoneware with a warm, natural patina and subtle glaze accents that highlight the contours of the face. The back is fitted with a vintage pin clasp for secure wear. This was found in an estate with many vintage and antique jewelry pieces. I believe this to be from the 1970s. A beautiful example of late‑20th‑century studio pottery jewelry — expressive, and one‑of‑a‑kind.
