Early and scarce 1930s or earlier, Traffic Officer pinback. Believe they called these patrolmen semaphores. I can only find one other out there for sale a while ago and it was in really tough shape. As you can see, this is very nice with paint intact and all mechanics working. The patrolman sinks down inside the white half barrel and with the lever below, pops back up.

Note the STOP in gold at the top of the umbrella. Push this down gently and the officer hides. The bottom lever rises him up again. Blue hat and uniform with white glove. Measures approx. 2" tall when up and 1" wide.
