A wonderful vintage Inuit, Canadian stone carving by the rarely seen artist Dennis Labbe, depicting a "Ptarmigan Grouse". Purchased in an estate with other like carvings from a collector's estate. Original artist signature underside of the carving. Dennis Labbe was born in Welland, Ontario on January 9, 1944.
Measuring roughly 2.75 inches in length and 3 in height, the condition is very good for the age. The quality of the carving I believe is very good, original works by Mr. Labbe are hard to come by. A wonderful Indigenous carving!
