Whispering
Item #: BNT1985 Our price: $145.00 |
Eugene de Blaas, also known as Eugene von Blaas, was an Italian painter in the school known as Academic Classicism. He often painted scenes in Venice, but also portraits and religious paintings. His colorful and rather theatrical period images of Venetian society, were quite different compared to delicate pastels and etchings of the courtyards, balcony and canals of modern Venice.
Secrets is reproduced due to it's appeal, but this is an earlier print, believed to be an antique and in it's original oak mission frame. Very desirable. I haven't removed it and it could use a soft cleaning. The original back paper is still there although torn and showing is the original framers paper tag. Shop long gone now from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The print itself appears to be in good condition and very presentable.
Approx. measurements: 20" w by 9" tall. Print fills frame without matting. Rich pretty colors. See and enlarge photos and feel free to email with any questions you may have. Thanks for looking.
