Beautiful Mid-century artwork as found in estate purchase. These have been tucked away in dry storage for years. Wonderful colors with matching burlap matting and wood framing.

The green artwork suggests Asian Hmong temple rubbing. The coral image shows a Thai temple rubbing. The figures in this one are likely characters from the Ramakien, possibly warriors or deities. Both likely from the mid 20th century, depicting figures from the Ramakien, the Thai version of the Ramayana epic.  "The Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic about Prince Rama and his quest to rescue his wife Sita." This type of rubbing was a popular souvenir for tourists in Thailand until it was banned in 1995 to preserve temple carvings. Both appear to be done on rice paper. (Had to use Google for help with the story)

 Approx measurements: Coral one is 26.5" tall, 26.75" wide
                                          Blue on is 26.75" tall by 24.75" wide

Both in very good condition with only minor wear. The frames show some minor scratching. Nothing terrible. The colors are outstanding on both. The green matting shows some light coloration's at bottom and top, again minor. See soft water soiling in photos. These are as found and not removed from frames.
