Beautiful survivor, a painting on board with a quiet tranquil scene. Wonderful condition for this early piece. Unsigned. Scandinavian - German family estate, we were told it was handed down as an heirloom. The story was the painter was 'important' but there is no way of knowing who or when.  Country home with a strong red roof. Beautiful transferal of lighting.

Looks to be in excellent shape for the age with age cracked paint. Back is browned but still can see a faint stamp can still be seen on back. Gold gilt frame in very good condition with a small spot at the top of it. See photos.

The frame measuring 12.5" by 10.5". Board measures 10" by 8.25"
