Part of a large collection of mine that I am going to sell off. I've loved them for years, now it's time to share.

People honored the Pilgrims and their journey by wearing pilgrim costumes during Thanksgiving festivities and early festivities. I believe this must have been the case here. They more than likely were part of a theater or play house as they look very professional. Young men and woman of the town Natick I am sure. In doing some research, it shows The Natick Theatre was built in 1913, this would have been the right era for the photograph. Perhaps these young folks worked there.

Holden, photographer, Natick Mass - Some history below:

Charles W. Holden had an advertisement for his studio in the Wellesley Directory (1904). His obituary can be found in the Bulletin of Photography (1915). The obituary states that he had taken “thousands of photographs of Wellesley College girls”

Measures approx. 11" by 14". Nothing is written on the back of the photo to indicate who these folks were, but does have in pencil ---
 C. Crane, 3 Pearl St. Natick. 4 for 2.50. (If one could find the C. Crane that lived at that address early turn of the century, you would find perhaps one of the folks in photo or lead to more info. to help)

Very good condition for the age. The board has some breaks around edges. The photo itself is very nice and only shows a few very minor scratches. Has been well taken care of through the years.
