Details

Framed photograph of a prominent William Henry Diemert, wholesale liquor dealer, of Moorhead, Minnesota. He and his wife are enjoying a nice day in the Elks Parade 1912. I've had this in my photo collection for years and letting go of a few of my favorites.

Great piece of history for Moorhead Minnesota; Georgetown, Clay county, Minnesota and Perley, Norman County, Minnesota. All places where Mr. Diemert lived. He was originally from Canada and worked for the Hudson Bay co. for some time as well.  A businessman in regards to Saloon keeping, Liquor Industry, Lobbyist and Automobile Dealer.

This is a 7.5" by 9.5" actual and original photograph in a 13.5" by 15.5" ornate walnut frame.

Beautifully decorated brand new Buick from 1912 with the family in tow. They won the second prize as titled in the photograph and in the newspaper clipping added to the photos (see last one).

Some history:

Birth 15 Jun 1873 Deemerton, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada
Death 10 May 1944 Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota, USA
Burial Saint Josephs Cemetery Moorhead, Clay County, Mn

W.H.Diemert - Advocate for the Liquor Industry.

Very good condition with the photo never taken out of the frame by me. Looks to be well preserved. The frame has some missing filigree in the corners. See photos.

Please do not copy or use photo without permission. Unfortunately some of my collection have been used to replicate. Thanks for understanding.  Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

Thanks for looking.
