Interior RPPC
Item #: BNT1509 Our price: $99.00 |
Rollingstone is in Winona County, Minnesota. Founded by immigrants from Luxembourg. Believed to be of a saloon dating to approx. 1890s - 1910s, (rppc postmarked 1914) ... interior could have been from the town, or the nearest large city was Rochester, MN. Even a possibility to have been in Wisconsin as so close to the Southern Mn and Easter Mn border. Nothing on the card outside of the postmark to identify location.
The establishment looks as if perhaps more well-to-do as the one gent is in a suit, the furnishings hold large cabinets, bar counter, scale and gambling? and piano. The signs I can read say Ice Cold Spring Water and Ice-Cold Sweet Milk. Getting very hard to find these original saloon photos. Addressed to Miss Myrtle (mis-spelled Malzhan) Malzahn .... Born 1892 Minnesota City, Winona County came to Northern MN. with Brother Lawrence, Married later, Eugene Allen of Bemidji, MN.
Measuring standard. This is in very nice shape for its years. Mild creasing and slightly bumped corners. Backside is dirty, postmarked 1914. Great display or collectible. Please view all pictures and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping in!
