The "Graf Zeppelin" was the most traveled airship in history. It flew over 1 million miles including the first circumnavigation of the globe via airship. From 1931 to 1937 it operated scheduled service between Germany and Brazil.
A Deutches Reich stamp, one of four German stamps that were issued on June 21, 1938 to publicize the upcoming 16th German Gymnastic and Sports Festival, to be held at Breslau, July 23-31, 1938. This postcard is showing the Breslau's Centennial Hall brown stamp. Very good condition with slightly bumped corners. Written in German and addressed to a Mr. Caspar Sandmann. This gentleman served in the infamous army.
