What a fun time this guy was having. And
look at those Mutton Chop sideburns. Some call them Porkchop
sideburns.
Cuffed up trousers and a snug suit -- he looks like a
Sherlock Holmes type. Not sure what he's trying to get
across but he's having a good time.
This card believed to be approx. 1900 - 1910. Addressed to
Ed Rifleman of Minot North Dakota. Assuming this to be
Edward? The writer states c/o Opra (but believed Opera)
Barber Shop? Might help with someones genealogy for the
area.
Some Minot history:
"Edward Henjum worked at the Opera. The Opera was a
barbershop located in the basement of the Jacobson Opera
House. The Opera was a big barbershop. It boasted nine
barber chairs.
A Turkish bath parlor was run in conjunction with the
barber shop. Besides the nine barbers, The Opera employed
a cashier and two porters"
Used and written with very nice penmanship. Calligraphy. No
postmark. There is a weird line(s) on top of cards face.
Could be a smudging from postal machine.
