This is an epic bummer. The person who
had this thought the postage stamp was far more valuable
than the card. I hate this. Specially with a scene like
this.
Such history here regarding an early Fosston Minnesota. It appears that the first settlers arrived in what is later known as Fosston in 1876.
This early dirt street scene shows horse drawn carts, one may be a funeral cart. Some of the first motorized vehicles and store fronts. Old telegraph wires line the street known as first street.
Signage: L.W. Larson's, Palisade Cafe, I.H.C. and more. Busy street life for such an early shot.
Addressed to Mr. Arnold Bakkum of Bemidji Minnesota; born abt 1893 in Iowa.
Sent by family members.
Very good condition discounting the open tear where the stamp was. Again...blasphemy for postcard collectors. Still too important to chuck.
Can be matted and framed to not show the tear.
Please see and enlarge photos and email with any questions prior to purchase. Thanks
