This card shows what looks to be a flooded out bridge and road near railroad tracks at Elbow Lake. If looking closely you can make out a person on the road.
Elbow Lake was named after a lake that
lies just to the west of the city. It was so named because
it is shaped like an arm bent at the elbow. It was in
1873, when the county was organized, that Elbow Lake was
named the county seat.
Very nice postcard that is addressed to a Miss Edla Unger of Staples, Minnesota. Posted 1911, Elbow Lake.
