Threshing Machine harvest season / Horse-drawn wagon
Item #: BNT3361 Our price: $45.00 |
A vision of the past, early‑20th‑century threshing scene, with the family and many times the neighbors helped with the harvest season. The large machine is marked “Minneapolis” on the side so believe it to be a Minneapolis Threshing Machine Co. separator. This looks to be appox. late 1800s - 1920s. The machine is blowing the straw into a pile (note the guy on the pile in the dust, agh!) an older gent is bagging seeds? Not sure exactly what you see happening in these neat real photo postcards but I know hard work and long days when I see it. Two young girls are seated on the ground probably anxiously waiting for her family to be done and a dark chicken is in the foreground.
The cards are in very good condition with only slightly bumped corners. Both are un-used and show smudges on the backs. North Dakota estate purchase years ago. Measures 5.5" tall by 3.5".
See photos for condition and email with any questions prior to purchase. Thanks for looking.
