Here is a magnificent, lidded stoneware jar hand-thrown and signed by American ceramic artist Martin Butt. Developer of the "B-Mix" clay recipe and the founder of Coyote Clay & Color.  Large-scale, finished and signed studio vessels of this caliber are increasingly rare and hard to find by this artist. This shows earthy, organic stoneware textures with a refined glaze finish. The bottom of the piece features his crisp, distinct, incised hand-signature: "Martin Butt".

Considered in pristine vintage condition.  Has been meticulously cared for and displays beautifully. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs, or structural defects of any kind. The lid fits seamlessly, and the handles are perfectly intact.
