As found in an estate purchase a few
years back. Memorabilia of Buxton North Dakota's first high
School, old sports Varsity letters, pin back button,
souvenir plaque and news clipping.
This bunch of history is a wonderful lot for the North
Dakota sports interest or party who knew or knows of a
Buxton, ND resident. Perhaps town history buff.
There are three letters, 2 B's 6.25" by 5.25" and 5.25" by
4.5" and a C, 4/25" by 4.25". The smaller 'B' has the script
writing at the top backside "Arla-Co. Capt Basketball"
The plaque shows an illustration of the old original High
School titled Buxton School 1900 - 1959. It measures approx.
5" by 4".
There are 2 news clippings regarding the school. One that
shows strife in getting a new school and the demolishing of
the old I believe. The other is in regards to same, with
photos
from a Minneapolis article Sunday Tribune, May 26th, 1963.
At the top please note the previous owner shows again the
name Arla Mae Spillum Stittsworth.
Also included is an original pinback in red and white colors
with the photograph of the original High School in the
center...measuring approx. 2.75" by 1.75". Very good
condition.
See photos for condition and please feel free to email with
any questions prior to purchase.
