Vintage souvenir pillows bearing the name of the state where soldiers were stationed in World War II were popular war-time collectibles that they could easily mail back home. This pretty pillow shows landmarks like the Nations Capital, the Lincoln Memorial, Washington's Mansion at Mt. Vernon, the White House and Cherry Blossoms on the Potomac. In the center is a poem called Mom and Dad.

This measures approx. 17" square with aboutr 1.5 inches of pretty purple and pink fringe all around. Purplish blue soft flannel type back. Wonderful historic piece that has been preserved well. Very nice condition. Would be a great piece to add to a collection or gift as a patriotic gift.
